The Oculus Quest 2 is an incredible VR system that can be used anywhere, but if you want to share the experience with your friends and family, you can do so by casting the Quest 2 onto your TV.

Oculus Quest 2 Casting

To properly cast your Quest 2 to your TV, you first need to have a few things in place. The most important thing is to have a casting device. The Quest 2 can be cast to a Google Chromecast, NVIDIA Shield, Google Home Hub, and NVIDIA Shield TV, according to The Gamer.

That may seem like a shortlist, but any streaming device compatible with Chromecast should do the trick. Chromecast casting can be done on a lot of smart TVs.

If you do not have a compatible TV or a TV-connected device, you can still cast the Quest 2 to a phone using the official app. Just connect it to a screen via an HDMI adapter.

Aside from having a compatible casting device, your Oculus Quest 2 and TV must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

If you are ready with both of these requirements, you can choose how to cast your VR. You can do it directly from the headset or start casting from the app instead.

You can use Google Chromecast with Google TV, Xiaomi Mi Box S with built-in Chromecast, or any other Chromecast compatible device, according to Business Insider.

For your headset, you can cast to your TV. First, you need to turn on your TV and your casting receiver and make sure they are connected to Wi-Fi. Next, turn on your Quest 2 headset and put it on, according to Lifewire.

Then, make sure your Quest 2 is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your casting receiver. Start your VR app and press the button that is located on the right-hand controller so you can bring up the quick system menu.

On the app’s card located at the bottom left of the screen, choose “Share Button.” Under the “Cast From This Headset,” choose your casting receiver. Click on “Next,” and you will see your headset cast to your TV.
